GETTING STARTED

 

Before you start completing offers, I strongly suggest you spend some time reading and getting set up first. It will seem like it takes forever, but it's not too bad and it will save you alot of time in the long run, and soon you will be a GPT guru!

1. First thing you need to do is set-up your computer :

A) Check if you have Internet Explorer or Mozilla
Firefox coz either one of them you will need
when completing offers with GPT site/s you'll
be joining. PLEASE DON'T USE AOL or
NETSCAPE for they generate a non-static
IP address which may cause the GPT systems
to see you as having multiple accounts, and may
result in you being deleted and/or banned.

Mozilla Firefox is a web browser with pop-up blocking, tabbed browsing, and privacy and security features. They've integrated the Google Toolbar into the Firefox download to offer users even more features : Google search, SpellCheck, and Autofill.

B) Disable all pop-up blockers in your computer.

For Internet Explorer :

b1. On top of the browser, click on "Tools" and then
"Internet Options."

b2. A new window should pop up. Click the "Privacy"
tab and uncheck the "Block pop-ups box (if it is
checked), then click "OK."

For Mozilla Firefox :

b1. On top of the browser, click on "Tools" and then
"Options."

b2. A new window should pop up. Click the "Content"
tab and uncheck the "Block pop-ups box (if it is
checked), and then click "OK."

C) Set-up your computer to accept all cookies. This
will not put your computer at risk.

For Internet Explorer :

c1. Click on your browser option of "Tools" and then
"Internet Options".

c2. A new window should open up where you can
click on "Privacy" tab. Go to "Settings" and lower
the bar to "Accept all cookies."

For Mozilla Firefox :

c1. Click on your browser option of "Tools" and then
"Options"

c2. A new window should open up where you can
click on "Privacy" and then the "Cookies" tab.
Make sure the "Allow site to set cookies" box is
checked and the two boxes below are unchecked.
Make sure the setting "Keep cookies" is set to
"Until they expire".

D) Most people and GPT sites recommend to use Internet Explorer 6 and also turn off your anti-virus/ spyware/adware/firewall coz they said it will interfere with the tracking of offers. But I use Mozilla Firefox and I also don't turn it off coz it might make my computer prone to hacking, viruses, spyware, adware coz I have cable internet connection as what I've read from a book. So far I am satisfied using Mozilla Firefox and not turning off my anti-virus/ spyware/ adware/firewall. My point is I'd rather not have unauthorized purchases/charges on my credit/debit card coz i've been hacked or I might have a problem with my computer coz of viruses, spyware or adware rather than getting credit from the offer(s) I signed up but have the problems I stated above. So it's your risk if you'll turn it off or not whether it might affect or not later on with the tracking/crediting of your offers completed.

2. Set up another email address either with Gmail,Yahoo, Hotmail, Lycos or wherever you want to have coz that's the one you will use as your primary email address for signing up with GPT sites as well as with Paypal so that your regular old email address will not receive lots of junk emails just incase they might send you. If you want to do surveys then you need to have two or more alternate email addresses where they will send emails.


3. Set up an account with Paypal coz most GPT sites will pay you thru your Verified Paypal account even though some will pay thru check by mail if you prefer. Don't you worry, Paypal is completely secure, free and convenient. Make sure that you verify your paypal account. To do this you will need to link your Paypal account to your checking/savings account. You can also order a free debit card through Paypal to access your funds and earnings more easily. Your Paypal account is accessed through your primary email account. MAKE SURE THAT YOU USE YOUR PRIMARY EMAIL ACCOUNT (Refer No. 2) WITH THE GPT SITES SO THAT THEY CAN PAY YOU THROUGH PAYPAL.

By the way, it's totally free to open an account with Paypal. They will only charge you fee/s when you'll receive money/payment if you have Business or Premier Paypal Account. I strongly recommend you better sign up for a Business or Premier Account coz there's no limit on the amount you will receive and/or withdraw per month. With Personal Account, you are just allowed to receive $500 and withdraw $500 per month for both. So register now by clicking the banner below :

 

 

 

Note : You can have a Personal and a Business or Premier Paypal Account as long as you are using different email address and checking/savings bank account when registering for each Paypal account.


4. Sign up with the GPT site/s you are interested in and please read their Terms&Conditions and FAQs :

4a. Click the referral link/s of the person telling you
about such GPT site/s. If no one referred you to this website or to any GPT sites then please sign up under me by clicking my referral links you can see on the "List of GPT Sites."

4b. You must give your complete real name, current
residence address ( no P.O. Box and Work Address allowed ), phone number and birthdate when asked coz they will verify by phone and/or ask for your identification card to make sure that you are a real person as their way of preventing fraud or identity theft.

4c. Almost all GPTs require that you must be 18 years
old or older; and must live in the U.S. and/or
Canada to register and complete offers. There are
a few that will allow international users so better
check with individual GPT sites for more info on
that by reading their Terms&Conditions,FAQs or by sending email to the Site admin thru support.

4d. You need to have your own valid credit/debit card
when completing offers with GPT sites. Most GPT sites will place you on hold/banned if you will use stolen card, prepaid credit/debit/gift card. So you better read the GPT sites Terms&Conditions, FAQs or email the Site admin inquiring if they will allow the use of prepaid credit/debit/gift card just to make sure about it but using stolen cards are totally banned by all GPT sites.

The trial offers require little or no money up front fees but you will need a valid credit or debit card to complete them. As long as you cancel the free trial before the deadline if you are not satisfied with the product/service, your card will not be charged anything more. Each trial will tell you what's the time frame for canceling it and what the fee will be should you decide to continue with the product/service. So you better read the Company's (Advertiser) Terms&Conditions and FAQs as well coz You assume all risks involved, and it is your full responsibility to follow Terms and Conditions at any advertiser's site.. The GPT sites and the person who referred you to the GPT sites are not responsible if you may incur loss or damages due to completing offer(s) for an advertiser but it is your full responsibility if ever.

Due to frauds happening lately, most advertisers and GPT sites will no longer allow prepaid gift/debit/ credit cards, but you can weigh how much you want the GPT credit and/or service and decide if you want to use your regular credit or debit card. Keep in mind that it may be something that you really would use and like to continue, and in a case like that then you would want to use your regular credit or debit card anyway. But if you will not be satisfied with the product or service, you can cancel it.

4e. Only sign up once on any GPT sites for they only
allow ONE USER/MEMBER ACCOUNT PER
PERSON PER HOUSEHOLD PER IP ADDRESS but you may sign up once with all GPT sites of same network. If you sign up for the same site more than once or try to cancel it or trick them, all accounts will be deleted. They track everything you do through your IP address, so don't try to trick them or you will lose some or all of your earnings and be deleted and
banned. You should also sign on from your own
computer only when completing offers or whatever
you want to do when logging in for any given GPT
site. You are not allowed to log-in from a public
area such as workplace, schools, internet cafe,
library or from other person's computer even you
are just going to check something without the plan
of signing up offer/s.


5. When signing up offers at the GPT sites :

5a. Make sure you clear your cookies and cache before and after completing each offer to have better tracking and crediting.

For Internet Explorer :

1. On top of the browser, click on "Tools" and then
"Internet Options".

2. A new window should pop up. Under the
"General" tab, press "Delete Files." A new
mini-window should pop up and you should
check the "Delete all offline content" and then
press "OK."

3. Under the same "General" tab, press "Delete
cookies" and then "OK."

For Mozilla Firefox :

1. On top of the browser, click on "Tools" and then
"Options".

2. A new window should pop up. Click on the
"Privacy" tab and then the "Cookies" minitab
and press "Clear Cookies Now."

3. Then click on the "Cache" minitab (right next to
the "Cookies" minitab) and press "Clear Cache
Now."

5b. Click the offer(s) you are interested with and read whatever requirements they said for signing up such offer(s). When clicking such offer, mostly it will open another new window. So please wait till it fully downloaded the advertiser's page (they called that "landing page") coz that's the one with tracking code. I recommend that you better read the company's Terms & Conditions, FAQs, Private Policy and other infos you think you need to know before signing up coz there are some offers that will require you to join club membership when buying such product/service. When you are done reading and keeping records of the infos you need (Refer No. 6) then close all window(s) pertaining to such offer(s) as well as also close the "landing page" except the GPT site then do what I said in No. 5a. Make it sure you do No. 5a before logging in the GPT site again and click such same offer you checked before. Now you need to sign up with such offer in the advertiser's page they called "landing page" coz like what I've said before that's the one with their tracking code to get credit then go on with No. 5c.

5c. Complete the offer until you reach the confirmation/completion page that says "Thank you or You have completed (unless stated otherwise in the requirements), and when you are on the confirmation/completion page, STAY on the confirmation/completion page for at least 4-7 minutes before closing the page and you don't need to sign up on other offer(s) you can see with that confirmation/ completion page coz such offer(s) you can also see in the gpt sites. You must also print such confirmation/ completion page for record purposes coz you might need it when communicating with the GPT Site Admin if you don't get credit on the offer(s) you already signed up. Then make sure you clear your cookies and cache before and after completing each offer (Refer No.5).

Note : By the way, not all GPT sites will accept manual credit request now due to frauds lately coz most advertisers will no longer accept manual credit request. To be sure with that matter, you better email the GPT Site Admin and ask about it.

6. Keep track of all the trials that you do. Make sure that you write down (or use word or excel or whatever you prefer) to keep track of the following :

a. the name of the offer you completed

b. the GPT site where you completed it

c. the date you signed up and the date you need
to cancel if you are not satisfied with the
product/service

d. the amount you paid when signing up such offer

e. the company's name

f. the company's email address

g. the company's phone number

h. and any other information that looks like it might
be relevant for you.

It is because you are not allowed to repeat the same offers at the same and/or different GPT sites. Keeping track of what offers you already completed and which GPT sites you did it will help eliminate mistakes in this area.

7. When you complete trials, make sure that you don't cancel right away or before you have received the product or before logging onto their website and checking out your membership. The whole point of this is to let them know that you are legitimately interested in the offer. So at least check it out, as it may be something that you really want.

8. Make sure you ask for the cancellation number and the name of the person you have talked with if ever you might cancel the offer. Also have a record of those infos with the date and time you cancel it coz sometimes, the company that you have signed up with will not cancel properly or accidentally charge you anyway or whatever so you will surely need those infos.

9. You will need to submit a W-9 (If in the U.S) or W-8 (If in Canada) tax form at each GPT site if and when you reach $600 during one calendar year because at the end of the year they will report your earnings to the IRS. GPT programs are considered "misc. earnings." You can contact the IRS or the person/ company who will do your tax for more info on how this amount of income can affect your filing status.

10. Remember No. 6 so keeping track of how much you paid for shipping and how much the GPT site paid you is a very good idea. For the simple reason that at the end of the year, GPT sites will report to the IRS how much you made with them. You might have received $20 for completing an offer but paid $4.95 for the shipping. So the actual amount you really earned was $15.05. It makes no sense for you to be necessarily taxed for the $4.95 as well.

11. Don't freak out if your offer doesn't credit right away, sometimes it can take several days to credit even it says 'instantly.' But some will credit right away, and you can have both results on the same GPT site. Some will never credit so don't panic! Communicate with the GPT site admin by sending a support ticket informing them about such problem with a scanned copy of the confirmation email/page you printed out after done signing up with such offer (Refer No. 5c). Make follow up when needed.

12. Don't overload yourself with too many GPT sites to start out with. Sign up for two or three to begin and work on those for a while as you learn how it all works. This will happen very quickly. Once you become familiar and have some favorites.You should also try to have referrals to earn more money. Even if you have signed up on GPT sites that you don't particularly like, make sure that you put all of your referral links coz they might become someone else's favorite GPT, even though it may not be yours.
